Nightfire: Source on 9 May 2013

I remember playing this game forever! I played it until my ps2 broke, which was the only thing that stopped me, it was the best! I would love it if you could make a remake! I love the console version of nightfire, but I would like to see you guys make a pc version, as the pc version of nightfire left much to be desired in my eyes. Good luck, if there's anything I can do, don't hesitate to ask!

007 Nightfire is absolutely one of the best first person shooters to ever grace the Nintendo Gamecube (It was also fantastic on PS2 and Xbox I believe). I had gotten the game when it came out and was just starting out with the Gamecube and it was just fantastic. I would play for days. The level design was pretty good, the graphics were stunning at the time, and the music and gameplay are all memorable. Seeing this website makes me happy that there are other people out there that show my passion for this game, and that it is certainly not forgotten. My one memory I will never forget, not even when I'm on my deathbed, is how much fun I had just playing with my father on multiplayer, and watching him play the game on single player. I had a lot of fun with it myself, but it was just such an experience watching another person play it. If I could have a say on this remake I would suggest to only upscale the graphics and keep the single player and muliplayer, as it was before.. The drive of having Daniel Craig, instead of Pierce Brosnan, is also neat as well, although having an option (or even an unlockable or cheat) to have Pierce's face model from the original, or even his likeness would be great as well. I would love to play this remake and give everyone working on it the best of luck.

Playing this game in the past was the most amazing 007 thing in my mind. After playing, I imagined that I was James Bond and that I would jump all over the place because of what a fan I was of 007. It's now been over 9 years and playing this game would be happy because I love the glory element in the game when you would kill Drake in space, escape, and save the world from destruction. If there were a remake, I would play it all the time, because I would enjoy it. But seeing it in Unreal Engine, is too much like the goldeneye remake. A nice one to use would be the cry-engine. From what I heard, it is great and works amazing, like Mechwarrior Online. A remake would be killer just as the 2002 game was a lot of fun. So people, don't let 007 Nightfire Reloaded get into the hands of Drake(Activisi on) and let the world be saved of nuclear missiles. I'm waiting and hoping for luck that this will suceed.

Great Idea! Nightfie is a great FPS, and it is one of the few shooter games that feel different than all the COD clones etc. It really felt like a spy experience, so my advice is to keep that as much as possible. Als o, if you guys are making this with the unreal engine, maybe include some form of a custom map editor? That would be awesome, and greatly increases the replayabillity . I hope the project is growing nicely, maybe you could add updates on the progress on this site? Cheer s,

Loved Nightfire. Still playing it on the gamecube although the controllers are old and wore down. My one biggest suggestion is to add a customizable gadget selection for multiplayer, and add more gadgets. I have loads of ideas, inflatable vests, jetpacks, umbrella shields, paraglide suits, just... the whole spy experience for multiplayer. And maybe also add some more spy like mp modes. But anyway, thanks for taking your time to make this tribute to a great game and please us fans.

Such a great game. We need bots on Ravine. So i have someone to play with.

Anonymous on 4 March 2013

I have it on the TV screen, right now, in front of me. I'm currently setting up a match between myself and some well-tuned bots. The fact that I can enjoy this awesome game, and customize the entire match, from the bots AI, to the weapon loadoutsis awesome. Keep THIS element, and keep the classic vibe of the game/maps, and you'll have a complete winner. I don't know what you guys need to get this rolling, but best of luck! I would love to see Nightfire: Reloaded some day! I got this place bookmarked now! I have a capture card and love recording these matches! Check out "youtube.com/D evin9223" to check it out!

I'm a big big fan of this game, I always play this game. For me, it is one of the best games than I ever played. If you realize this project, I will be the first to buy it. Good luck guys.

Gary on 16 February 2013

On the multiplayer mode we can play split screen 4 players against bots.

About 5 or 6 years ago, i almost finished Nightfire on Ps2 with my father, we played it almost every evening for a year, about two weeks ago, i decided to buy a new ps2 to play the game again, and i just finished it, i got so excited that i that i used a whole night to search for some new night fire news, that was the moment i discovered this website, and i would love to help you making the game! I am SO excited, however, i read that the character in the game will be Daniel Craig, but changeable to Pierce Brosnan, like in the original game, am i just the only one that only want Pierce?? Anyw ays, thank you for taking your time to start this creating of a new Nightfire!

Andreas on 27 January 2013

It was the best bond entry on any gaming console in my opinion and the level/story design was very unique and much needed for this genre of game. I've been playing the game for 10 yrs. now and many of the levels are still entertaining to me. Between the great gadget selection and the shooting system I see it's only fit to give this game an updated overhaul to actualize it's greatness once more.

Troy on 26 January 2013

I think it's awesome that you guys are trying to remake of Nightfire! I loved that game and hopefully I will enjoy the remake of it when you guys finish it. Also, please include the feature of making enemies surrender! I absolutely loved doing that.

The thing I love with Nightfire is those split screen multiplayer maps! It has to be the most entertaining split screen game in the world ever together with the goldeneye for the 64. The thing I like most with it is that aiming system. It is not like in COD where you can be as good as you want. This aiming system depends a lot upon luck, and that is fun! Unfortunately those newer bond games has all forgotten about that. If this game was gonna get a remake, I want the produsers to make more trails as skyrail. It is awfully fun with those gondolas and those two bases. And I think it would be aproperly to get a face clean up by the villains. And it would be nice if you can add more villains and allies to the multerplayer trails. Hopefully some allied men like Felix Leiter. Other people I want to see in this game might be Emilio Largo, Klebb, Blofeldt, that skier in for your eyes only, dr no, grant, silva etc. I really hope this game will have a remake, or it is just fine to just get an hd-release of the game.

Nightfire was the first 007 game I had and repeatedly sold and bought it back about 3-4 times and strongly believe that the game deserves to be remade for current generation consoles. A longer campaign and the real names for the guns are some suggestions.

Philip Stead on 15 December 2012

Perfect game

Honza on 9 December 2012

Fun thing. I just discovered this project, and as coincidence enough, me and my buddies spent all yesterday afternoon rediscovering this awesome game :) I would love a remake, Nightfire to me is childhood. Going to my friend's house (he had a ps2, I didn't), we'd pop the disc in, and play multiplayer for several hours. It was pure fun and havoc, and we loved it! As a suggestion, you would want to change Bond's appearance to Daniel Craig, but I think it'd be cool if it was like this. You'd first play as ol' Pierce, and after completing the game once, you could have the option to change to Daniel Craig, or maybe even some other bond (Connery anyone? :P). Maybe new campaign music and other slight changes could come as well when playing as a different Bond. Anyways, I would love to see this project succeed!

It was the very first video game I EVER PLAYED. I didn't know what video games were until I went to my cousin's house one day and he turned on his gamecube with nightfire in it. I played the game once and was addicted to it even though I SUCKED HORRIBLY in the starting. Then I kept bugging my family to get me a game system until I finally got a ps2. With the ps2 I got many different games but I never really liked any of them. Thats when I decided that I needed the game that I played at my cousin's house(I didn't know the name of it). I asked him the name and found a used copy of the game and played it over and over again. I bugged my sisters and cousins to play multiplayer with me all the time. I think nightfire deserves a remake because it was an awesome game. I still have my ps2 just to play that game. I want to actually help with remaking the game. I have years of experience with filmmaking and acting. I would like to voice act for the game and write the script too. Thank you, please contact me back.

ADS... XP... multiplayer unlocks... We want Nightfire not a modern shooter. Come on we don´t need these! We just want online multiplayer. Keep the dumb/super annoying sniper AI and OP weapons. Let us make our own weapon spawns and play with the older graphics if possible. B TW what is with the AI and the ronin? I have only seen the bots deploy one only 3 times in my whole life.

Niko on 26 November 2012

This is the greatest game ever and i am the greatest player ever. Remake it for the ps3!

Adam on 26 November 2012

Night Fire was the greatest 007 game there ever was. My brother and I grew up playing with this game and we greatly miss it. Any other 007 game just won't cut it!

Jessicarendon on 23 November 2012

Nightfire was my favorite game as a kid! Me and my cousin played it for years, and now that it doesn't work on my Xbox 360, I'm really frustrated! I think to make it better, they could bring in more levels but make it the same story! This would make me so happy :)

I've been an avid fan of the Bond series since I was a child, acting out action scenes running around my bedroom. Fast forward to 2012, I'm 24 years old, and I'm going back and watching every single Bond film again, sequentially. I just saw Skyfall on opening weekend in IMAX. I just bought the 007 Legends video game, as well as Bloodstone, and I'm wanting to replay Nightfire, but it doesn't work on Xbox 360 (fully.) So, Let's remake it!

Kyle Allen on 19 November 2012

I used to play Nightfire on the PS2 all the time. I still play the PC Nightfire online occasionally. It kind of breaks my heart to see only six people playing it at one time, when about 4 years ago there used to be full servers. I think NF needs a remake. Best 007 game out there.

Matt Taylor on 18 November 2012

Considering the monstrosity that Agent Under Fire was I was pleased when I got my hands on Nightfire, and it didn't disappoint. It's up there with the very best of Bond games like the N64 version of Goldeneye and then Everything or Nothing. Brosnan is my Bond, probably because he's the one I grew up with. For me, the Craig films just aren't 007 movies, and I will be very upset if I have to play the campaign as him. It might even be an idea to include all the Bonds for campaign and multiplayer use to better suit everyone's tastes?

Chris on 11 November 2012

I just can't wait to see this game released. Nightfire is my favourite and always will be!!! The latest game 007 Legends was totally COD clone inspired by many old games made a decade ago. But, as long as this remastering version will keep the classic gameplay footage and the menacing Bond with awesome storyline, I'll buy the game the first day it gets released!!! Love the game, I just love it!!!!

Jack Christian on 8 November 2012

Please make a remake ! It was so good some days i played it all day long i loved this game !

Omar on 3 November 2012

Best FPS I have ever played. Best story mode, Best maps, Bet gameplay. I spent hours with this with my cousin. Also played with bots when I was alone which was fun too!

Francis Villaruz on 22 October 2012

Still have the pc version installed and yes mp is active!! this is classic bond- gadgets, missions. i would love this see this game with hd graphics dream come true

Chris Tzafaris on 20 October 2012

I always played this as a little kid on my 2002 pc.and then every time we went to my relatives house they had it for ps2. It's probably my most favourite game in the FPS genre. I must admit i do like the PC version better, although driving the vehicles was loads. maybe adding vehicles for pc would work, and of course having console maps for pc, vice versa. I hope you lot get this through, I'll buy it in a heartbeat! Cheers!!

Charlie Treetrunks on 9 October 2012

I remember when I was just a kid I loved playing nightfire on my ps2 In my opinion nightfire could use an option that allows you to download the music to your !pod or mobile phone that way you could always listen to the glorious music I think that nightfire could use a system that allows you to play at daytime or at nightime and a cool slogan!

John Colón on 20 September 2012

This was the best game ever when i was little. it was the only game i played on ps2. and if you remake it, that would just be the best thing ever done.

Joshua Osemwengie on 2 September 2012

I would love a remake on Nightfire because it so hard to find a cheap copy of the game today.. I remember one time when I played nightfire with my brother on the map phoenix base :) we always took the briefcase machinegun from the hanging thing in the middle of the map and placed it on a hidden spot and hide us, we won every time with that method :D one thing that I hope you can do is to make a PC version of the game that are similar to the console version ;)

Hallowpixie on 1 September 2012

PC version of the game is Gold Source engine, so, umh, I think that it's easier to convert game to Source Engine... Becouse map editor (Hammer) is very simple...

Markuza97 on 20 August 2012

My little sister and brother and I would spend hours on this game, playing multiplayer versus A.I. bots. We'd even have others join us for some 4v6 action. When I found out Nightfire was backwards compatible for the 360, I flipped... then I found out it always freezes on Alpine Escape. I would gladly shell out $60 for a remake. Hours of ridiculous fun at my fingertips? Yes please!

Since 2002 Nightfire has been the best Bond game! I mean it has a wonderful story, gameplay, and the most awesome multiplayer ever! The game is so awesome that today me and my friends still play it all the time!

I still play this game! I would love to play 4-player splitscreen on Skyrail again!

Anonymous on 13 July 2012

This game is definitely one of the best games I've ever played. The singleplayer mode was very good but I think the multiplayer was/is the main reason why I love this game so musch.I remember back then:Me and my best friend against 4 Bots on very high difficulties.W e played hours on multiplayer. An d I don't know why but it was never boring;we had always fun with nightfire. Ac tually we would play nightfire even today but I borrowed my copy some little kid and he LOST it:O But when I found out about this project I really wanted to play this game again. So i bought nightfire on ebay and in some days it will arrive and i can play again:)

Brian Alexander Meisenheimer on 12 July 2012

What's awesome about this game: - There are so many different kinds of multiplayer Scenario (Top Agent, Protection, Uplink ect.). - You can change the enemys difficulty (Life, Reaction Time ect.) - A lot of sweet weapons such as Tripbombs, Golden Gun, Remote Mine, Satelcharge, AIMS-20 ect. - Lots of Gamesettings for Multiplayer - The unlimited Fun - Music is good - Great Weapon random system Ideas for the remake: - More MAPS - Every Bots stats can be changed like Ninja, not like Jaws, Oddjob, Mayday ect. - More Weapons (and maybe even bombs for example mines) - Even more Scenarios ( for example: Every Player & Enemy has their own target, Protection+Dem oltition at the same time just without Satelcharges, Freeze Mode: If you get killed, you get frozen. Your Teammate has to heal you or something to unfreeze you. When the one Team freezes all the other opponents, they win. - Online gaming -That more than one person can go online on one console. - More MI6 characters such as Q or what about M?! Oh and please Moneypenny!! :D (just imagine: Moneypenny + Sentinel!) - No Blood if possible - More personality choices for each Bot (Not just Assasin, or Greedy. What about the Trap-Maker...) - Expand the limited amount of Bots (more than 6...What about 8? - Have the possibility to make the bots even harder! (We accually have all our 6 bots at the hardest lvl: 300 HP, best reaction time, fast, very good aming ect. And we would love to have an even better challange on beating them) P.S. : 'Cause our Xbox broke, we two accually decided to buy a new Xbox just because of this game!!! (no joke!)

Absolutely loved the PS2 version of Nightfire ... aah fond memories of the single-player mode. Alas, I regretted getting rid of it when I got my PS3 as I found out that mine was PS2 game compatible (BOO-HOO-HOO). I would really love to see this project get going like they did with Goldeneye : Reloaded

Alex Church-furness on 5 July 2012

Why don't you give the player an option to choose one of the six Bonds in the game?

Anonymous on 4 July 2012

The skyrail map is a masterpiece. An update would be chantastic

Pamphf on 2 July 2012

I love all your ideas. Nightfire just needs to be remade to target the newer audience of Bond fans, this would be brilliant. Remember to continue the spirit of RC vehicles and basic moving objects such as the Gondolas!

My life, and my childhood. (Although Brosnan is definitely not my Bond. I've always been a Dalton fan)

Cameron Fraser on 30 June 2012

Nightfire built on the mechanics introduced in Agent Under Fire to create a superb realisation of the Brosnan universe, without feeling stuck in the past.

Peter on 30 June 2012

I just love the game the music, the gameplay and well everything since it was the best at the time Please make the remake soon at least have it by mid 2013 because its been at least 5 years since i played this :(

Hunter on 28 June 2012

I used to play this game over and over again. It has an interesting and challenging campaign. But I must say that muliplayer was really exciting. It includede a lot of classic Bond enemies which I knew there for the first time. There were a lot of multiplayer gametypes also. I loved to play this game with my cousins. It was really important for me I will definately be glad to see a remake.
